Preview EMX250 final in Assen.
Although the title has already been claimed by Mathys Boisrame, it is still exciting during the final of the European 250cc Championship. This season, Roan van de Moosdijk has already been on the podium three times, including the victory in Ottobiano! The DP19 Yamaha rider is third in the standings, just six points ahead of Martin Barr. This former GP rider was still in the lead halfway through the championship.
The title went to France thanks to Boisrame, who has already won five matches. Despite a difficult start in Valkenswaard, the Honda rider managed to secure the title before the final. Mel Pocock is second on 37 points, followed by Van de Moosdijk. The Eindhoven native must therefore keep Barr at bay and Steven Clark also has a chance for third place. The former champion in this class is 13 points behind Van de Moosdijk.
Freek van der Vlist will try to make his season shine at the TT Circuit. The rider from Apeldoorn had quite a few problems with the Honda in the early stages of the season. The match comes a little too early for fellow countryman Marcel Conijn after a thigh fracture. As a result, the Kawasaki rider cannot supplement his total of 7 points. Cyril Denot and Erik Willems are the only Belgians who have managed to score points this season. Genot has recovered from knee surgery and Willems is focusing on the final of the EMX300 in two weeks.
