Van Heugten is seriously injured in Halle.
On the circuit of Halle today became a match KNMV Open Dutch Championship 500cc driven. For Roy van Heugten the match ended on 'The Kappenbulten' not good because the Yamaha rider had a heavy crash in the first moto. In this crash, the Modiform rider fractured two vertebrae, his collarbone and suffered a collapsed lung! There will be no surgery, but the season will end prematurely. Particularly unfortunate for Van Heugten, who is in the lead with two games to go Galvin Cup.
