Sterry immediately returns to the top ten.
After missing three matches, Adam Sterry showed in Assen that he is made of the right 'racing stuff'. The Briton finished tenth and eighth during both heats on the TT Circuit. This gave the 22-year-old rider ninth place in the daily rankings. Marshal Weltin also managed to score well again, the American finished fifteenth and thirteenth. Victory went to Jorge Prado and he travels to the final of the FIM MX2 World Championship with a wide lead.
1e some
Adam crashed heavily in qualifying, but fortunately he was able to start on Sunday afternoon. The start of the first heat was reasonable and places were immediately made up in the first lap. In the initial phase, the Kawasaki rider was in tenth place, but due to a mistake he lost a position. Things are intense and both riders do not avoid contact. With four laps to go, Adam manages to get back into the top ten and crosses the finish line in tenth. Marshal continues to improve in the race and manages to get a nice fifteenth place out of the heavy sand.
2e some
The start of the second heat is slightly better and Adam manages to start the race in ninth place over 30 minutes and two laps. A battle with Geerts ensues and after two laps the F&H Racing driver manages to take over eighth place. He then no longer hands this over. It even looks like Cervellin will be passed, but he manages to stay out of the 'claws' of Adam, who ends up eighth. Marshal also sets a good pace in the second heat after coming out of the first round in twelfth position. The American loses a spot to Lawrence after more than ten minutes of competition, but he is quite satisfied with thirteenth place.
Next game:
The twentieth and final race of the FIM MX2 World Championship will be held in two weeks in Italy. The championship will also be hosted on a road racing circuit, namely Imola. Eleventh place in the final standings is still possible for Adam!
