Micha Boy de Waal has undergone knee surgery.
The knee injury that Micha Boy de Waal suffered during the Belgian Masters of Motocross in Orp-Le-Grand puts an early end to the Dutchman's season. Last Friday, the Honda rider underwent keyhole surgery and it became clear that the anterior cruciate ligament was torn and a piece of cartilage was broken off. The damage is repaired immediately so that recovery can begin immediately. The coming months will therefore be all about recovery for De Waal.
"It's a shame that this happened, but on the other hand, I now have time to recover properly so that I don't have to miss the start of the new season. The injury is tough, but I have the right people around me, so I can look forward to the new season with confidence," said 23-year-old De Waal.
