Kras keeps EMX300 championship exciting until the last round!
In the penultimate round of the EMX300 championship, reigning champion Brad Anderson was able to secure the title, but he had to deal with Mike Kras. Something the British failed to do…
In fact, Brad Anderson managed to take the holeshot, but nervously he first saw his biggest competitor Mike Kras rush past and then drop all the way to seventh place. Mike Kras felt that everything was going well and confidently pushed on to an easy victory, ahead of the Belgian Erik Willems and Mattia Guadagnini. The reigning champion Brad Anderson was able to make up a few places in the final laps and finished in fifth place. This way he keeps the damage limited all in all. Yet everything is still possible tomorrow.
With this standings in the championship, with Brad Anderson who has 267 points and Mike Kras who has 249 points, Brad Anderson must score at least 8 points if Mike Kras manages to score again. If the Brit only scores seven points, the title goes to Mike Kras because of the series victories in which he has the upper hand over Brad Anderson. So the picture is simple, Mike Kras has to do what he already did today to score 25 points again and Brad Anderson cannot finish higher than fourteenth if we want the lowlander to become European 300cc Motocross champion. If the Brit does better than fourteenth place, the title is always within reach for the man who was previously also active in Australia and in the MXGP circuit.
