Italy takes over the EMXoN title from France.
In Gdansk Team Italia has the European Motocross of Nations won. Three of the four heats in Poland were won by the team led by Thomas Traversini. The Norwegian Hakon Osterhagen won the first round in the 85cc class. Italy takes over the title from France, which finished second, five points behind the winner. The podium was completed by Norway who, in addition to Osterhagen, also Kevin Horgmo scored well. Unfortunately, Team Netherlands did not take action after Roan van de Moosdijk had to withdraw injured and replacement Rene de Jong was also unable to take action.
