No Romain Febvre in Assen
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP's Romain Febvre who crashed in the MXGP of Turkey 10 days ago will not participate in the MXGP of the Netherlands this weekend. Yamaha announced this today in a press release.
First it was stated that the ex-MXGP world champion had not suffered any additional injury in addition to a concussion in his fall. Now his team indicates that he is still experiencing too much discomfort from the rib he broke in Turkey. Earlier this week, Febvre tried to ride again for the first time, but due to the severe pain he experienced, the 26-year-old Frenchman decided to forfeit the Dutch Grand Prix. Despite missing the Turkish GP, Febvre is still fifth in the MXGP standings.
