BOS GP in green for 2019
As previously announced, BOS GP will compete next year with Bobryshev Evgeny and Tommy Searle on the Kawasaki KX 450KX. So today the official confirmation on paper!
Just before the Swiss GP, BOS GP team owner Olivier Bossard appointed ex-CLS team manager and owner Jean-Jacques Luisetti as team manager. The latter obviously has a long relationship with Kawasaki. For the team of the French suspension specialist, which is completing a turbulent first MXGP year, the collaboration with a manufacturer is an important milestone.
Yet the link between BOS GP and Kawasaki is not new either. BOS-Suspension was Livia Lancelot's supplier, helping her win a second world title that year. Olivier Bossard also worked with Steven Lenoir, spending countless hours with the Frenchman as he chased another British title. The Kawasaki-BOS suspension combination ran excellently and Steven also won the opening round of the French championship.
Olivier Bossard, BOS GP Team Owner: “The goal was to bring the 685 into MXGP on the 450KX. The fact that we will now have a green 'bullet' under the tent is the best way to do it to remember. I am very happy that we can enter into this kind of collaboration immediately after one year of MXGP Racing. Every Monday we look at the results of Eli Tomac and Clément Desalle and that gives us a lot of hope. The new 450F was born under a good star and I can't wait to try to make it better with our suspension know-how.”
JJ Luisetti, BOS GP Team Manager: “My relationship with Kawasaki is actually a love story. I have been selling green motorcycles for 30 years in my shop in France. I have been the best European salesman for 18 years, my Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team has won EMX13, MX250 and MXGP races for 2 years. You can imagine how happy I am to wear a Kawasaki Racing jersey again! All these years have given me a lot of experience and my goal is to create the best combo together with Olivier's help: a strong motorcycle, talented riders and a safe, efficient chassis. I definitely feel that BOS GP can deliver this for its riders for 2019.”
