114 Motorsport is looking for a replacement for Lawrence.
Leaving in 2019 Hunter Lawrence to the USA to compete for Team Factory Connection-Geico-Honda. Just before the Dutch Grand Prix, 114 Motorsports was promised support from Honda in 2019. Bas Vaessen still has a contract for the coming season and the replacement for the Australian seems to have been found. The only thing missing is the signature according to the 30-year-old team boss Livia Lancelot.
“To be honest, it's been a tough year.” the Frenchwoman immediately admits during the conversation. “Everything was bigger than expected, and that also applied to the problems we encountered. The worst part was that we only received the new CR250F for testing in January. It was a tough race against time until the start of the season. We worked on the engine 24 hours a day, seven days a week. But the first podium finish in Argentina was a great reward and came at just the right time. We spent so much time in the workshop throughout the season that we are happy that the GP season is almost over. Of course, I have made mistakes and will make more in the future. It is a learning process, but I think all in all we have made a good impression.”
