Swiss GP only earns Horgmo ten points.
Kevin Horgmo managed to score ten points for the European 250cc Championship on a very attractive Frauenfeld circuit. The CreyMert Racing rider was unable to score in the first round, but he finished eleventh in the second round. After missing qualifying in Belgium, David Braceras Martinez now managed to qualify without any problems. The Spaniard managed to reach the finish in both heats, but unfortunately he did not score any points.
250cc:
Kevin's qualifying went well and the Norwegian managed to qualify eighth in his group. However, the first moto of the weekend starts less well and the KTM rider is included in the midfield. In the first round a number of places are made up and the first full round is completed in 16th. While others can increase their pace, Kevin simply cannot. He fights against himself and loses every round and even drops back to 27th place. In the last lap he manages to make up a spot, but the FXR-clad motocross remains far outside the points.
The start of the second heat is better for 17-year-old Kevin, who starts the race in tenth place. An overtaking attempt on Pocock does not go well, allowing Strubhart Moreau to pass both drivers. Then Van de Moosdijk and Barr also pass the blonde rider. Fortunately, things start to improve in the second half of the match and a duel with Walsh for eleventh place follows. The New Zealander won the first heat and in the last lap he had to make way for Kevin, who crossed the finish line in eleventh place and thus managed to score ten points.
125cc:
Last Wednesday, David managed to win the 125cc race during the famous motocross in Mol-Balen. Good for his confidence after the difficult EMX weekend in Lommel. In Frauenfeld he was not surprised in qualifying and managed to set the ninth fastest time. The Spaniard starts the first heat over 25 minutes and two laps in the points. In the initial phase he can even work his way up to eighteenth place, but then makes a mistake. He managed to improve from 22nd position going into the final round, but unfortunately 21st place did not earn any points.
David doesn't start the race well in the second round and is taken into the backfield. He then tries to work his way into the top thirty. The 15-year-old rider succeeds until he arrives in 26th place and then makes a mistake. Two places are lost to gain one place in the last one. With a 25th place, David scores no points, but completing both heats gives him confidence for the final in four weeks.
Next game:
For Kevin, the CreyMert Racing Team will now travel to Sevlievo where the Bulgarian Grand Prix will be held next weekend. The EMX125 will continue on September 15-16 in Assen, where the final of the EMX250 will also be held.
