Walsh weathers the storm and wins heat 1 of EMX250 in Switzerland
In the hugely competitive EMX250 field, it was Dylan Walsh who took victory in Frauenfeld (Switzerland) in the early evening. The New Zealander withstood a storm of attacks from, among others, championship leader Mathys Boisramé, Pierre Goupillon and Brain Strubhart Moreau.
The last named in line gave the best of himself in the last round of the matches to take the victory. The Frenchman pulled off some nice and devious attempts, but the Diga Procross pilot Dylan Walsh withstood them all. The man on Husqvarna won with just 0.184 seconds ahead of Brain Strubhart Moreau and Pierre Goupillon, who was still very close. Mathys Boisramé and Maxime Renaux completed the top five.
In addition to the great race, the Dutch were also able to warm up somewhat with a good performance by Roan van de Moosdijk who finished tenth and Freek van der Vlist who finished eighteenth.
