Van de Moosdijk shines, Boisrame takes the EMX250 title.
With his five victories in ten races, Mathys Boisrame celebrates the European 250cc Championship early. In Sevlievo the Frenchman managed to win the second round. Mel Pocock did not finish the first heat, but during the second heat the Briton finished sixth, leaving him exactly fifty points behind. Boisrame wins the title because he has an equal number of points counting the number of heat victories and Pocock has none at all. Next to Boisrame, Tom Vialle and Roan van de Moosdijk are on stage. The Eindhoven native tries to win the second round, but the Frenchman can withstand the pressure.
After the starting gate goes down for the second heat of the weekend over 25 minutes and two laps, Boisrame takes the lead. The Frenchman is followed by Ivanov and Gianluca Facchetti. The Bulgarian wants to take over the lead in front of his own audience, but Boisrame manages to prevent that. A little later Ivanovs makes a mistake, causing the KTM rider to fall back. Facchetti briefly takes over second place, but he has to make way for Tom Vialle and Van de Moosdijk. Boisrame has everything under control for the first half of the match, but then Vialle and Van de Moosdijk come on strong. Boisrame still has to work hard in the second half of the match. In the last ten minutes Vialle loses connection and the LRT driver sees Pierre Goupillon passing. At the front it is hard against hard between Boisrame and Van de Moosdijk but the Frenchman does not bow down and he not only takes the victory but also the title. Van de Moosdijk finished second with the DP19-Yamaha, meaning he could climb back onto the podium. Goupillon finishes third ahead of Vialle and former EMX250 champion Steven Clarke. Unfortunately, Freek van der Vlist does not finish during this second heat.
