Kevin Fors is twice the strongest in MCLB in Volkegem!
While most amateur federations took a rest weekend and gave their pilots and supporters the opportunity to visit the Belgian Grand Prix, points were fought for in Volkegem for the Belgian MCLB championship in the Inters Category. It's a bit of a shame that a beautiful course and super organization like Volkegem is being pitted against the largest motocross competition in Belgium, our national Grand Prix. That aside, let's get to the competition story...
In the first round of the Inters Open it was Kevin Fors who managed to control the race from start to finish with a holeshot. Wieste Brackman, who started poorly, managed to fight his way to third place, and even to second place past David Segers. This David Segers managed to drop Wietse Brackman back to third place with two laps to go, allowing the Standing Construct KTM pilot to finish second. The top five was completed in this first heat with Jorne Tytgat and Henson Lievens.
The second heat, in which Kevin Fors again controlled the race from start to finish. Behind the Reytec Husqvarna pilot, it was Wietse Brackman who also controlled the race from start to finish in second place. David Segers finished third ahead of Jorne Tytgat and Jurgen Wybo.
