The French dominate the first round of EMX250!
The top three during the first EMX250 round in Sevlievo are French. Brian Strubhart Moreau leads from start to finish and wins ahead of Mathys Boisrame and Tom Vialle. Roan van de Moosdijk scores well in sixth place, while fellow countryman Freek van der Vlist remains scoreless in 21st place. Mel Pocock also remains scoreless and that ensures that Boisrame comes closer to the title.
With the BUD Racing Kawasaki, Strubhart Moreau gets the best start ahead of Nicholas Lapucci, Boisrame and Vialle. The Italian cannot follow the 'Haantjes' and drops back. The Yamaha rider then also sees compatriot Gianluca Facchetti, Michael Ivanov and teammate Van de Moosdijk pass. Moreau has the lead with both hands and the debutant wins the first heat ahead of the leader in the standings. Vialle on the LRT-KTM crosses the finish line in third place, followed by 125cc World Youth Champion Facchetti. Bulgarian Ivanov is back in the paddock after he suddenly disappeared a year ago. The KTM rider finishes fifth ahead of Van de Moosdijk. In the title battle, Boisrame now has a 40-point lead over Pocock, but if the REVO Husqvarna rider loses ten points or more to the Frenchman tomorrow, the title will go to Honda.
The second round will be held tomorrow morning at 10.25am, which can of course be watched LIVE via MXGP-TV!
