Damien Knuiman talks about his Junior World Championship.
Without a doubt Damien Knuiman imagined more of it FIM Junior World Championship in Australian. The Gelderlander responds to the race on the circuit of Horsham. “The adventure in Australia is over, but unfortunately the hoped-for and desired results were not achieved. On Saturday things went very well and I achieved the fastest time in all training sessions. Due to a lot of water, the circuit was completely different on Sunday. It all looked good after a second fastest time in the Warm-Up. The first moto didn't start well but from eleventh place I came back to fourth place. A straggler made an unexpected swerve and I had to swerve. Through the deep mud ruts, resulting in a fall. Luckily we made it back to P21 from P11. The second heat started eighth to quickly get to P6. However, then I was a little too hasty and pushed down, from P18 back to P6, but then hit from behind by a colleague who didn't like being passed. That's why I only finished 24th, we thank everyone for the support and encouragement.”
