Xavier Boog announces farewell!
Last week Xavier Boog (SR Motoblouz Honda) secured his fifth French Elite MX1 title. Yesterday, Boogie announced during the last race of the 24MX Tour in Castelnau de Levis that he will retire as an active motocross rider at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old Frenchman retired as a GP rider at the end of 2014 after a serious injury, but emerged as the reference in the MX championship in his own country. Boog will still complete the full French Supercross championship. Xavier stated that he is finding it increasingly difficult to take the risks required to be at the front and that he wants to make more time for his family.
