Mark Boot doubles in Tessenderlo
In the 500cc, 'BMB guest riders' Dietger Damiaens and Thomas Vermijl were trendsetters, but mainly VLM riders were in charge. However, in the quarter liters, BMB'er Mark Boot always won ahead of Tim Louis!
Whoever was in the lead on the drifting Oosterbergen had much more than a little advantage. Mark Boot drove the competition into a proverbial pile in the first round. Fifteen (!) seconds after 'Bootje', Tim Louis crossed the line in second place after a lonely race. Kristof Scheynen had a difficult start to the race, but once the 25-year-old MC Stroeckx rider got into his rhythm, his progress was unstoppable. Not only did Sxheynen drive from 10 to 3, in the final phase of the race he was also almost the fastest man in the race! Daymond Martens finished fourth after a great catch-up race. Tallon Verhelst, leader at the BMB Nationals 250, kept Rob Konings out of the top-5.
The BMB MX2 revelation of 2017, Tim Louis, was in the lead and kept a tight rhythm. Only halfway through the race was Mark Boot able to pass the early leader. Boot eventually beats Louis, but he still came up strong in the closing rounds. Daymond Martens now finished third.
