Luc van Lenning takes day victory in Rhenen.
Luc van Lenning has on circuit Quintelooijen won the competition in the NK quads in Rhenen. Van Lenning achieved second and first place in the heats. He stayed Valentino Rock en Tino Winter for. In the standings of the NK quads 2018, the differences at the top are very small. With three games to go Marco Keunen still in the lead. The top five are within 30 points of each other.
First round of NK quads.
Dennis Jansen had the holeshot ahead of Richard Ruttenberg and Dani Hoffard. Ruttenberg took the lead on the first lap and Jansen continued to follow him until the fourth lap when Jansen had to retire. Roks had now passed Hoffard and was now in second place. Two laps later it was Luc van Lenning who emerged strongly from sixth place and took over second place from Roks. Ruttenberg had now built up a nice lead and ended the heat as the winner ahead of Lenning. Roks finished ahead of Koolhaas who had now passed Hoffard. Hoffard ended up with a cracked exhaust and had to wait to see if he passed the noise test. He had all the luck in the world and, to everyone's surprise, his fifth place was upheld due to probably a malfunctioning measuring device. Leader in the standings of the NK quads 2018 Marco Keunen had to deal with a stone that got stuck between the brake and rim after three laps and dropped out. He was still classified as 34th.
Second round of NK quads
The holeshot now belonged to Lenning ahead of Ruttenberg, Roks, Hoffard and Keunen. Keunen quickly made up some places, but he choked in a corner on the first lap and fell back to fifth place. Ruttenberg suffered from a saddle that he lost and eventually had to start a catch-up race from last place. Roks was now in second place and finished well behind Lenning in second place. Keunen passed Hoffard on the fifth lap and finished third. Winter came back strongly from the middle of the pack and also managed to pass Hoffard to cross the finish line in fourth.
In the standings of the 2018 NK quads, Keunen remains in the lead, Jansen fell from fourth place to eighth and was passed by Roks, van Lenning, Joey Meertens and Carlito Simons. Sem Ende was not present and was passed by Ruttenberg and Koolhaas, among others, and is now outside the top ten.
