Kras rises to second place thanks to victory!
The fifth race of the European 300cc Championship was won by Mike Kras. The GL12 Racing driver finished second and first on the Loket circuit. With that he knew the German Dennis Ullrich (1-6) and Vaclav Kovar (10-3) to stay ahead in the daily rankings. BradAnderson comes fourth and loses twelve points compared to Kras, who is now second again in the standings.
From the moment the starting gate drops, Kras leaves no doubt. The KTM rider takes the best start and then immediately takes off. After the first full lap, Kras has already built up an eight-second lead over Marek Sukup. The Czech manages to keep compatriot Kovar behind him for almost ten minutes, but when he passes, Anderson quickly follows. The GasGas rider manages to keep Anderson behind him for a long time, but in the final phase the Briton still strikes! Anderson comes second ahead of Kovar and his compatriot Sukup. Andero Lusbo manages to get behind Ullrich in the final phase, who has now taken off his glasses.
There are still two matches to go in this championship, Sevlievo (25 August) and Imola (29 September) are still on the calendar.
