David Segers wins MCLB in Heldergem!
Yesterday, one of the matches for the Belgian Championship of the MCLB federation in the Inters category was contested in Heldergem, East Flanders. At the start, about 16 pilots braved the leaden heat, with all the usual names.
In the first heat, those present saw Wietse Brackman take the holeshot and take control of the race. However, the Husqvarna pilot, who had also been active in the European Jet Ski Championship in recent days, had to conclude that he had not yet fully recovered from those three days of racing in the water. David Segers was able to take full advantage of this. The Standing Construct KTM pilot had worked his way to the front after a poor start and took over Wacko Bracko with four laps to go. David Segers secured victory in the first round ahead of Wietse Brackman and Jorne Tytgat.
The second heat was again a similar story. At the beginning of the match we had a short duel between Wietse Brackman and David Segers. However, Wietse Brackman's bob ended slightly faster than that of old age dean David Segers, who then advanced to his second series victory of the day. This for Wietse Brackman and again Jorne Tytgat. The overall went to David Segers, with his double series victory, ahead of Wietse Brackman and Jorne Tytgat! In the MX2 class Henson Lievens was the first and in the Inters B class Michiel Vercauteren came out on top!
