Bam, Herlings is now also dominating MXGP of the Czech Republic!
There seems to be no limit to what Jeffrey Herlings can do. The Red Bull KTM pilot once again managed to gain the upper hand from fellow brand Antonio Cairoli in the Czech Loket. Behind these two dominant figures, Tim Gajser finished third twice.
There wasn't much to the story of the race in the first heat. As so often happens, it was Antonio Cairoli who managed to take the holeshot, but in the first lap Jeffrey Herlings saw his opportunity to take over the lead in the race. Antonio Cairoli had no answer to the attack and the Italian had to quickly recognize his superiority in the Dutchman who easily rode to the series victory. Behind Jeffrey Herlings we saw that Tim Gajser, a beaten Antonio Cairoli, came to stalk a bit. However, the Italian had an answer for the Slovak and still finished in second place ahead of Tim Gajser and Clément Desalle, who with his fourth place became the best Belgian in the race, just ahead of fellow countryman Jeremy Van Horebeek. The other lowlanders finished with Glenn Coldenhoff in ninth place, Kevin Strijbos in nineteenth place, Nathan Renkens in twenty-fourth place, Sven van der Mireden in twenty-seventh place and Julien Lieber was only classified thirty-third.

In the second moto we had a similar story. Once again it was Antonio Cairoli who managed to take the holeshot. But once again the Dutch world championship leader Jeffrey Herlings quickly passed his rival for the title. This time, however, Tony Cairoli persisted a lot longer, it took until halfway through the match before the Sicilian broke under the pressure imposed by 'The Bullet'. Jeffrey Herlings then raced through to his second series victory of the day, ahead of Antonio Cairoli and Tim Gajser again! Behind this trio we saw a nice duel between the Yamaha teammates in which Romain Febvre came out on top. The Frenchman finished fourth ahead of Jeremy Van Horebeek.
The other Belgian Clément Desalle made a great start and was in fourth place, just behind the two big tenors and Alesandro Lupino. Unfortunately, both the Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki pilot and the Fabrieks Kawasaki pilot crashed when both came into contact with each other, in what was perhaps a slightly over-optimistic and opportunistic overtaking attempt by Clément Desalle. The Monster Energy Kawasaki pilot eventually finished seventh, behind Gautier Paulin and ahead of Jeremy Seewer and Glenn Coldenhoff. Dutchman Glenn Coldenhoff finished in ninth place, just ahead of fellow lowlander Kevin Strijbos who finished tenth. Our other lowlanders finished in places nineteen, twenty-six and twenty-seven respectively with Julien Lieber, Nathan Renkens and Sven van der Mierden.
