Maxime Desprey to Honda France SR!
After two years of Gebben Racing Van Venrooij Kawasaki, Maxime Desprey is leaving the Dutch team. Desprey will present itself this fall Honda France SR focuses on the French beach races and Le Touquet. Becoming his teammates for this program Richard Fura and Stéphane Watel!
Due to the retirement of multiple French Elite MX1 champion Xavier Boog, the Motoblouz team had to look for a replacement. It was found in Maxime Desprey. Maxime rode in the top 10 in the MXGP several times this year and finished third in the French Elite MX2017 championship in 1.
In 2019, Desprey, who currently has an ankle injury, will resolutely go for the French MXA title. He also wants to win a few MXGPs. With Stéphen Watel, the team of manager Josse Sallefranque attracts a young pilot with beach racing potential. In 2017, Watel finished fifth in Le Touquet.
Richard Fura will also still be driving in the red. After giving the SR team a podium in the 2017 Enduropale and becoming vice-champion in the championship Courses sur sable that year, he is a permanent fixture. This year, Fura suffered a shoulder injury while finishing second in the Le Touquet. Appointment for the first French beach race in Berck-sur-Mer in mid-October.
