VLM: Where was Kenny Janssens?
Reigning VLM Inters champion Kenny Janssens was absent from the eighth round of the championship in Genk yesterday. Due to his absence, Janssens lost second place to Kevin Van Geldorp. We learned from the KTM Racing Center pilot.
Despite his efforts, things have gone smoothly for the 32-year-old Janssens in recent weeks. A visit to the doctor provided clarification. Kenny is struggling with problems in his blood. “I have rested for two weeks since Lommel, luckily I feel a little better already. Normally, this mandatory rest applies for the entire month of June. At least in the sense that I am not allowed to compete. Next week we will draw blood again and then we will see if there is any improvement.”
Due to Janssens' physical problems, it seems as if Jens Van Meer is given a free pass to the title. As unfortunate as that is for the tension in the battle for the title, health comes first. Get well soon Kenny!
