Second time in a row full score for René Albers.
On the tough sand circuit Leusderheide in Leusden, van de Laar Racing rider René Albers (Groesbeek) achieved the full 120 points for the second week in a row at the MON MX open inters. The victory for Albers did not come naturally. It was mainly teammate Davey Janssen (Gemert) who offered resistance, but a fall in the first moto made him without a chance for the day's victory.
During the first heat the best start was for Joshua van der Linden (Veen) ahead of Janssen and Albers. In the third lap it was Jansen who took over the lead. Van der Linden stayed close behind Janssen and managed to regain the lead, but again it was Janssen who again passed van der Linden. The decision in the heat came in the ninth round. Janssen crashed and it was René Albers, who was right behind Janssen and van der Linden, who took over the lead and quickly took the lead to win the round. Van der Linden crossed the finish line second ahead of René Rannikko (Bel). Dylan van Veghel (Oss) caught up from the middle of the pack and finished fourth and Janssen just managed to stay ahead of Jaap Janssen (Blaricum).
In the second heat it was Albers who was the fastest. Albers had to give the lead to Janssen after a few laps, but he managed to regain the lead on the seventh lap and ended the round winning. Behind this duo, Roel van Oort (Nistelrode) fell back to seventh place after a good start. Ranikko and Kay Ebben (Wilbertoord) took advantage of this and crossed the finish line in third and fourth. Van Veghel again had to come forward from the middle of the pack and his catch-up race now ended in fifth place.
In the MX 2 inters the victory went to Michael Hool (Heerlen). The Limburger also won both heats, ahead of home rider Kevin Buitenhuis (Amersfoort) and Levi Schoonderbeek (Nijmegen).
