Phoelich benefits from Van Grinsven's mistake.
Ricardo Phoelich was up on Sunday Hydrowear Motodrome Emmen the strongest during the ONK quads masters. In the first heat Phoelich still had to admit his superiority Mike van Grinsven and defeated him in the battle for second place Joe Maessen. In the second moto he took advantage of mistakes made by Van Grinsven and took first place in the moto and the day's victory. Van Grinsven finished second in the overall standings with a first and second place in the heats. Koen Jansen This time he encountered no bad luck and achieved a nice third place.
In the first heat, Van Grinsven was the best at the start. Close behind him were Maessen, Rick Haverdil, Jansen and Phoelich. Maessen took second place from Haverdil in the first lap. The distance between van Grinsven and Maessen increased slightly with each lap. Maessen was put under pressure by Phoelich, who had now passed Haverdil and Jansen. Phoelich managed to pass Maessen and crossed the finish line second behind Van Grinsven. The Belgian Jan Vlaeymans also managed to pass Haverdil and Jansen and finished fourth. In turn, Jansen passed Haverdil and took fifth place.
In the second moto Phoelich was the best ahead of Jansen and van Grinsven. Van Grinsven quickly took over second place, but in the chase for Phoelich he made a mistake and fell back to ninth place due to a fall. Van Grinsven then started a catch-up race and on the eleventh lap he passed Jansen to take over second place. Phoelich could no longer be traced and won the heat and also took the day's victory. Jansen crossed the finish line in third ahead of Tuur van Hoof who finished a strong heat in fourth place. Haverdil now managed to finish in the top five.
In the standings of the ONK quads masters, Van Grinsven has a 60 point lead over Maessen with two games to go. Maessen will continue to have to take Phoelich into account, who is now in third place with 29 points. Davy de Cuyper (Bel) drops out of the top five and Koen Jansen rises from tenth place to eighth.
