Jeremy Van Horebeek leaves factory Yamaha team.
After it was previously announced that Max Anstie will no longer ride for the Husqvarna factory team in 2019, Jeremy Van Horebeek announced that he will leave Team Yamaha Monster Energy at the end of this season. 'The Jerre' announced this himself yesterday Instagram.
The 28-year-old Van Horebeek has been riding for Michele Rinaldi's official Yamaha team since 2014. An obvious successor for Jeremy would be the other Jeremy, Jeremy Seewer. The Swiss is having a strong MXGP rookie season for Wilvo Yamaha.
"The news of today is not the best news, but life is hard and we have to make the best of it. Still a lot of racing going on! Let's hope I will have a job for 2019,” the experienced Belgian wrote in his post. Despite some injuries, Van Horebeek is ninth in the World Cup standings. In Valkenswaard he finished third in a series. Over the past four years, 'The Jerre' never finished outside the top 7 in the final standings of the MXGP world championship.
