Jeffrey Dewulf wins both heats during MCLB BK in Everbeek!
The fifth round of the MCLB Inters BK was held in Everbeek this weekend. A high-quality field of participants at the start including Wietse Brackman, Kevin Fors, David Segers, Jurgen Wybo, Jorne Tytgat, Torpjurn van Hoe and this weekend also Jeffrey Dewulf.
In the first moto, Jurgen Wybo's MX2 machine started fastest, but it was his Husqvarna teammate Wietse Brackman who quickly took over the lead. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Dewulf also moves past Jurgen Wybo, putting Jeffrey Dewulf in second position. Wietse Brackman, who spent a few days in the hospital this week due to stomach and intestinal problems, makes things difficult for Jeffrey Dewulf but cannot maintain his high pace. Not surprising after the past week. Jeffrey Dewulf passes Wietse Brackman, who in turn finishes ahead of the strong Jurgen Wybo. David Segers is rewarded with a fourth place after a crash at the start and the top five is completed with Jorne Tytgat.
The second heat then, and a similar story. Once again it is Wietse Brackman who imposes his will at the beginning of the race and manages to maintain this until a few laps from the end. Then, unfortunately for him, the Husqvarna man is again overwhelmed by Jeffrey Dewulf, who fought his way from tenth place in this moto. After this duo we find David Segers who now managed to capitalize on a better start with a third place, ahead of Torpjurn van Hoe and Kevin Fors!
The overall victory of the day therefore logically went to Jeffrey Dewulf with both of his heat victories, ahead of Wietse Brackman and David Segers. In the MX2 class Jurgen Wybo was again the first and in the Inters B the Waaslander Michiel Vercauteren was able to show off the day's victory with his two thirteenth places.
