Boog wins, Graulus finishes nicely on the podium in Domaine de Foolz!
Today the fifth round of the French 24MX Elite Motocross Championship was held in the French Domaine de Foolz in Bourguignons. At the start we saw the usual names such as Xavier Boog, Greg Aranda, Nico Aubin, Damon Graulus, Daymond Martens, Milko Potisek, but also guest riders Jordi Tixier and Waaslander Robin Bakens.
In the first heat we saw Xavier Boog take command at the beginning of the race. However, the Hexis Motoblouz SR Honda pilot saw Jordi Tixier pass after a few laps. The former MX2 world champion took the lead in the race, but he was unable to really get away from Xavier Boog. Xavier Boog, in turn, was unable to really launch an attack. For example, the reigning French champion had to allow Jordi Tixier to win the first round with a small lead. This for Xavier Boog and Greg Aranda. In seventh place we found Damon Graulus and in eleventh and fourteenth place we found Daymond Martens and Robin Bakens.
The second heat started somewhat chaotic with a few crashes. We already lost Greg Aranda and Jordi Tixier, who both left the match. It was Milko Potisek who got the best out of this start, the Yamaha pilot led the pack until just after half the race. Then he had to recognize his superior in Xavier Boog who went up and over the man from the North. While Xavier Boog steamed through to the series victory, we saw Milko Potisek suddenly disappear from the tables two laps from the end. As a result, Belgian Damon Graulus, who had started in fourteenth place, moved up to second place. Also the place where he would finish ahead of Nico Aubin, Valentin Teillet and Richard Fura. Our other Belgians finished eighth respectively with Daymond Martens and Robin Bakens finished sixteenth in this second round.
In the day's results, the overall victory went to Xavier Boog with 47 points. This for Nico Aubin with 38 points and Damon Graulus with 35 points!
