Janssens is back in VMCF Werchter!
Almost in his own backyard, VLM champion Kenny Janssens returned to good form and success. Janssens took the overall victory in the VMCF with a second and first place. Frederic Weigert recorded the same score, but had to bow his head to Janssens due to a poorer second race.
After being in trouble for several weeks with poor blood values, Janssens turned a blind eye to Werchter again. He had to leave only Weigert in the first moto, but took revenge in the second moto.
In the Superfinal the proverbial end was over for Kenny. Stijn Verstrepen had already shown in the second series that he had not forgotten how to cross. However, what he showed in the Superfinal was reminiscent of 'the streak' in his best days. After all, Stijn won ahead of Janssens and Benonit. Mikkola Racings' Jerome Benonit was allowed to take the podium in the MX1. VLM guest rider Jelle Verbruggen dominated the Inters MX2 with a victory in both series.
