Ivano van Erp on the podium in Lelystad.
A lot can change in less than 24 hours. That was the plan Ivano van Erp would be in action last weekend during the third match of the ADAC MX Masters. However, the Brabander did not pass qualifying on the circuit Bielstein due to a broken rear tire. On Sunday the student was given a second chance, which he grabbed with both hands and the Yamaha rider finished third in Lelystad.
ADAC:
The training in Bielstein went without any problems for Ivano who quietly explored the circuit. However, things went wrong in qualifying. In the first fast lap Ivano got a flat rear tire and the rear wheel broke. Because only one motorcycle is allowed to be driven during the ADAC, repairs had to be done quickly. Ivano was able to return to the circuit, but when he wanted to start his fast lap, the checkered flag fell and he therefore had no time on the clock. The team leaves immediately back to the Netherlands to drive to Lelystad on Sunday morning.
ONK:
A competition for the KNMV ONK Youth was held at MC Flevoland. Ivano was clearly looking forward to it and he managed to start the first heat as the leader. In the first corner the Ossenaar goes a little too wide, causing him to drop back to third place. Battles follow with Karssemakers and Kooiker, both are slightly more brutal, causing the debutant to lose two places. However, the reigning 65cc World Champion is satisfied with fifth place.
The YZ85 also gets off to a great start in the second moto and firmly takes the lead. He manages to hold this for more than 15 minutes. De Wolf then passes by and the leader in the standings of the ONK, the Dutch Masters of Motocross and the EMX85 wins the second round. Ivano finished second and finished third overall!
Next game:
On July 1, the KNMV ONK will continue at the Geldermalsen circuit. Again a very hard circuit. A week later the final of the European Championship 85cc North-West will be held. This competition will be held on July 7-8 and will take place on the Markelo circuit where the first Dutch Masters of Motocross was held earlier this year!
