Savaste and Pfeil Kawasaki immediately separated.
Finnish talent Kim Savaste and Pfeil Kawasaki Racing have mutually terminated their agreement. Both parties appreciate their efforts to move forward and wish each other much success in the future. The now 18-year-old Savaste has already won one race after another on a 9cc in the Finnish and Estonian championships at the age of 65. In 2010 and 2011 he won the Finnish 85cc championship. In 2012 he won the famous Coupe de l”Avenir in Belgium. The following year he finished fourth in the European 85cc Championship. A year later came the high point in the career of the Helsinki-born rider, when he won the 85cc World Championship in Lierneux, Belgium.
Kim leaves the official KTM Junior Team and switches to Marchetti Racing-KTM in 2015 to participate in the EMX125. In 2017, Savaste had a serious fall during the MXoN qualifying series and broke his back. The rider, who now belongs to the Bud Kawasaki Racing team, is going through a deep valley and will never be the same as before. We, and especially I as a good friend of the Savaste family, hope that Kim will soon find the focus again to fully focus on what he is good at and that is motocross!
We wish Kim the necessary rest and hope to soon be able to post positive news about Kim's future.
