Nicky van Wordrager underwent successful surgery
Nicky van Wordrageren (Yamaha Team964) successfully underwent knee surgery last Friday. During the operation, a tendon was stripped from the thigh to create a new anterior cruciate ligament. In addition to some capsular tears, the inner meniscus also appeared to contain a tear. However, this can heal itself through the rest that must be taken.
Nicky is currently still in hospital, but she can normally go home quickly and can then start working on the rehabilitation in small steps, which will take 9 months according to protocol.
