Mike van Grinsven also the strongest in Varsseveld
Mike van Grinsven has won the ONK quads masters in Varsseveld. Van Grinsven won both heats on the Vennebulten circuit in Varsseveld. Joe Maessen (Ysselsteyn) took second place ahead of Ricardo Phoelich (Wijchen).
First heat
Maessen took the holeshot ahead of Grinsven, Phoelich and Marc de Vries. Both were always slightly ahead of Phoelich per lap. In the sixth lap, van Grinsven managed to take over the leading position. Maessen managed to keep up for a few more laps, but it was Van Grinsven who slowly but surely managed to take a small lead and won the round. Behind this duo, Phoelich consistently rode in third place and also crossed the finish line in third place. Marc de Vries (Zevenhoven) took fourth place ahead of Eccomaxx rider Rick Haverdil (Hernen).
Second heat
Van Grinsven was the fastest in the second heat. He quickly took a lead over Maessen who was busy keeping Jan Vlaeymans (Bel) behind him. In the sixth lap Vlaeymans passed Maessen and slowly but surely walked away from him. Phoelich had a mediocre start and managed to drop from 11th place to 4th place. This was at the expense of de Vries, Haverdil and Tuur van Hoof (Bel).
In the standings of the ONK quads masters, Phoelich takes third place at the expense of Davy De Cuyper (Bel).
