Husqvarna launches 2019 enduro bikes!
Just days after KTM announced its 2019 enduro line-up, it is the turn of sister company Husqvarna. The Swedish-Austrian company has an extensive line-up of premium enduro models. For the 2019 model year, the machines did not undergo major revolutions, but small, well-considered evolutions, according to Husqvarna.
The Husqvarna enduro line-up broadly consists of three different sub-segments: the two-stroke machines, the four-stroke machines and a light allroad. However, the latter model, the 701, remains untouched for the time being. Although we do not completely rule out a possible update in the coming months.
The two-stroke line-up
Husqvarna has three two-stroke machines in its enduro line-up. On the one hand the small TX125, on the other hand the TE 250i and the TE 300i. These last two models are a bit like Siamese twins because, apart from their engine capacity, the two TE-i's are virtually the same. The large two-strokes are equipped with electronic injection, and are therefore, together with their orange counterparts, an exception in the enduro world. Both machines are also equipped with an electric starter. Nevertheless, nostalgics can still continue to use the kickstarter.
However, you will not find an electric starter on the TX 125, the smallest two-stroke and also the lightest model of the entire enduro line-up. However, the machine will receive a new steel diaphragm clutch for 2019.
The four-stroke line-up
Husqvarna's four-stroke enduro line-up also includes four models for 2019. Ranging from the FE 250, over the FE 350 and FE 450 to the FE 501. In addition to the inevitable electric starter, the four-strokes are also all equipped with a traction control system. The Husqvarna four-strokes are the only production enduro machines in the world that have this.
Updates for 2019
Just like KTM's enduro machines, the Husqvarnas are also equipped with suspension components from WP. But unlike the orange machines, the Huskies do not have a PDS system in the rear. The rear shock absorber is attached to the swingarm with a link system. On all seven models from Husqvarna's 2019 line-up, both the WP DCC shock absorber and the WP Xplor 48 front fork have been fitted with new standard settings. The front forks are now stiffer, which should help prevent so-called 'bottoming out'.
As we have come to expect from Husqvarna in recent years, the 2019 model year will also have its own 'face' and that means that the machines are equipped with new graphics. The white base color, in combination with blue/yellow accents, refers to the Swedish roots of the brand.
