Hofer wins again in EMX125, Meuwissen tenth
Championship leader René Hofer (KTM Junior Racing Team) proved his class once again today at the Talkessel in Teutschenthal. The young Austrian quickly took the lead and rode unthreatened to his fourth victory of the season.
Due to the nature of the course - fast, hard and few lines - the 125cc rider quickly fell into the decisive fold. A convincing Hofer outclassed the competition while Mattia Guadagnini took the lead from fast starter Eddie Wade halfway through the race. A regular Thibault Benistant, the winner of the first round in Kegums, finished fourth, his compatriot Tom Guyon completed the top-5. A sick Emil Weckman could never really make a fist, although he managed to limit the damage with a 6th place.
No Wannes van de Voorde at the start as the F4E Racing driver failed to qualify. After a mediocre start, Raf Meuwissen was the best lowlander with a 10th place. Dankers had an even worse start and was able to come back reasonably well, as Raivo finished 13th. In another quite boring match, Petr Polak had the best story. The Czech promise came into contact with Weckman and crashed spectacularly on the descent soon after the start. Fortunately, the number three in the championship was able to resume his match. Ultimately, Polak came in 18th.
