De Dycker takes the lead in MCLB Wontergem
In the MCLB federation, the pilots went to Wontergem this weekend, the course between Tielt and Deinze and therefore a stone's throw from Ghent once again received a series of interesting names in the inters category.
We saw Ken De Dycker and Damon Graulus, as well as familiar names such as Kevin Fors, David Segers, Torpjurn Van Hoe and others. Not Wietse Brackman, he took part in the Belgian Jet Ski Championships, his other passion.
The first heat started with Kevin Fors taking the lead. However, the man on Reytec Husqvarna soon had to acknowledge his superiority in Ken De Dycker and a few laps later also in Damon Graulus. This meant that both former teammates could once again clash in front of the audience. The lead in the first heat changed several times, but in the end it was Ken De Dycker who took the victory over Damon Graulus by less than a second. Kevin Fors came in third at just under seven seconds. David Segers and Jaimy Deleersnijder completed the top five.
In the second moto we saw “Keeno” take command of the series from the start. The man from Brabant took the lead and rode to victory in a controlled manner, without pushing to the limit. For a long time, Torpjurn Van Hoe seemed to finish second, but the young man dropped to fifth place in the last two laps. This allowed Jurgen Wybo to score a second place overall on his MX2 machine in this second round! Kevin Fors crossed the finish line in third place with David Segers on his wheel. And what about Damon Graulus you ask? The Suzuki pilot fell at the start, made a strong advance, making a podium place a possibility again, but due to a mistake he fell back to eighth place.
The overall result in the MX1 class was logically won by Ken De Dycker with two series victories. This for Kevin Fors and David Segers. In the MX2 class the victory went to Jurgen Wybo and in the Inters B Class to the man from Vrasene Michiel Vercauteren!
