Broc Tickle is fired by KTM
We have already brought you Broc Tickle's story in several pieces. The American motocross pilot tested positive on February 10 during the San Diego Supercross on 5-methylhexan-2-amine. We at mxmag asked what that was and what it does to an athlete Belgian world authorities in the field of anti-doping.
There was silence from Broc Tickle's camp. Except for trainer Aldon Baker, who stated that he did not know where it came from and who was subsequently concerned that neither the FIM nor WADA really offered help in finding out when his pilot must have taken this product in order to test positive. Matters to which both control bodies should not respond, Broc Tickle's entourage must figure this out themselves. What emerged from interviews with Aldon Baker and Roger DeCoster was that both had little knowledge of the product. They often knew even less than you, who read the article by the Belgian doping experts and I. In short, amateurism is the trump card, but what Roger DeCoster did say in an interview with one of the American media was that if the B-Staal also tested positive, the contract would be terminated. In addition, KTM would be able to reclaim all the earnings that Broc Tickle has earned at KTM.
B-Staal is positive
The B-Staal now appears to be positive. So KTM is forced to dismiss Broc Tickle. The American who has one Loretta Lynn title to his record and one Supercross Lites West title is now screwed. However, it is not yet known whether KTM will also reclaim all wages and bonuses already paid out, which will undoubtedly continue.
What can and should Broc Tickle do now
Hiring a European lawyer seems to provide a solution to one of the problems already raised by the Tickle entourage. Namely the difference in time zones. A European lawyer could contact both headquarters of the FIM and WADA in Switzerland between the “Nine-To-Five” hours, but at the same time also make a Skype call with his client Broc Tickle at 22:00 PM. In addition, assuming his innocence, the former Pro Circuit Pilot must look for the product that was contaminated with 5-methylhexan-2-amine. However, this will become very difficult three months after the date of the test. Shakes and supplements have already been used up and the new batch can again be 5-methylhexan-2-amine free. Some of his training buddies such as Marvin Musquin were also tested the same day, the process of elimination can still help him in a certain direction. What did I take that my colleagues at Aldon Baker did not take, which products did I use from a different supplier than my colleagues at Aldon Baker, and so on. It will certainly be a difficult fight for Broc Tickle to actually prove his innocence to WADA and the FIM.
