WMX: Courtney Duncan wins second series, Papenmeier wins GP!
The first heat was yesterday, as you could read with us, won by Larissa Papenmeier. The German on her Suzuki then won ahead of our lowlanders Nancy van de Ven and Amandine Verstappen! The question that arose was, could our lowland women once again achieve such a strong result and what about the top favorite for the title Courtney Duncan?!
It was Courtney Duncan, the New Zealander who took revenge on herself after her sixth place yesterday. Josh Coppins' team took control of the match from start to finish and won the match with some ease. Behind these Yamaha pilots, it was the Italian Kiara Fontanesi who saw a nice overtaking yacht from around tenth place rewarded with a second place for the Grand Prix winner Larissa Papenmeier!
And what about our lowlanders?
Nancy van de Ven and Amandine Verstappen finished fourth and fifth. Unfortunately just not enough to finish on the Grand Prix podium everywhere.
