Preview ADAC MX Masters 2018.
Next weekend the ADAC MX Masters starts at the Frustlich Drehna circuit. The first race in the series of seven will be held on the sand circuit just south of Berlin. Previously, 'only' three classes were in action, but from this year the 125cc will have their own competition. At the 'Masters', Dennis Ullrich will lose the title despite other reports earlier this year. However, he will do this on a 2-stroke machine and with his own team; 2-Stroke Revolution Racing.
ADAC MX Masters:
After years of absence in his own country, Maxi Nagl will compete in the full championship this year. The TM rider is therefore the big favorite for the title. However, we expect that it will not be an easy job for Nagl, who will have to compete against Henry Jacobi, Filip Neugebauer and Matiss Karro, who returns from Brazil. The names of Ken de Dycker and Jens Getteman can also be added, the Belgians will ride the entire championship in German service. De Dycker has a deal with WZ Racing while Getteman will again compete for Pfeil Kawasaki. Other Belgians in German service are Nolan Cordens (Becker Racing), Cedric Grobben (SHR Motorsports), Thomas Vermijl (Raths Motorsport), Nathan Renkens and Jeremy Delince at Honda dealer KMP Racing. After missing a KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross due to illness, Jeffrey Dewulf (Motorshop Desmet-KTM) has decided to focus on the ADAC title. Lars van Berkel (SKS Racing-Husqvarna) and the Hutten Metaal Yamaha duo Sven van der Mierden and Mike Gijsbertsen are in action from the Netherlands.
ADAC MX Youngsters:
The 250F riders are less busy with the Lowlanders; Omar Baloglu, Bryan Engelen (Raths Motorsport), Dani de Vries and Jarno Kooij (Becker Racing), will drive the entire championship. For Robbert Fobbe (Team Fobbe Campers) only the first match is currently scheduled. It is difficult to appoint a title candidate, but we will try anyway; Hardi Roosiorg. We believe the Estonian will have to compete against Team Diga Procross riders Dylan Walsh and Caleb Grotheus. Furthermore, Kim Savaste (Pfeil Kawasaki) and Jeremy Sydow (WZ Racing) could also show some nice things. Very striking in this class is the participation of Rene Hofer and Petr Polak, both riders are normally active in the EMX125!
ADAC Junior Cup 125cc:
After the success of this class in the European, French and of course Dutch Championships, the ADAC will now also have its own 125cc class. More than 100 riders had registered, there is only room for 50 riders. We see no Belgians in action against four KNMV riders; Raivo Dankers (Team RD10 by Mefo Sport), Brian van der Klij (Team marXparts by Motocenter Hegau), Raf Meuwissen (Raths Motorsport) and Rick Wennekens (SKS Racing-Husqvarna). Without a doubt, both Dankers and Meuwissen will compete for the title, they will have to compete with Maximillian Spies, Filip Olssen (Team Diga Procross), Lion Florian and the Russian Maksim Kraev. By the way, these riders do not participate in all races, the 125cc rides six of the seven races!
ADAC Junior Cup 85cc:
There are also a lot of registrations in the lightest class and here too only 50 starting places available. Kay de Wolf was going to ride the full championship, but he has decided to focus on the KNMV ONK title. This means that Ivano van Erp (Team Mefo Sport-IvE-432-Yamaha) is the only Dutchman in this championship. Van Erp is in his first year with the big wheels and his main goal is to learn a lot. Three talents travel from Belgium to Germany, led by Liam Everts, who is our major title candidate. In addition to Everts, the brothers Sacha and Lucas Coenen also compete in the entire championship. The biggest opponents for Everts in our opinion; Camden McLellan, Constantin Piller, the Dane Tobias Caprini and the Latvian Edvards Bidzans. There are also six competitions on the calendar for the 85cc.
