New foot injury for Brian Bogers
After a new injury to the same bone he broke last November, Brian Bogers of Team HRC Honda will remain out of action for an extended period of time. The 21-year-old driver from Eindhoven was training when he started to feel discomfort in his right foot.
Since the beginning of this month, Brian has been back on the bike. When he continued to feel pain after training, Bogers went to the AZ St. Elisabeth hospital in Herentals for further examination. There, a new small crack was found in his foot. As a result, the unfortunate HRC Honda rider will have to undergo surgery again on May 7, after which he can start his rehabilitation.
Team HRC is currently analyzing this new situation and will provide more news as soon as it becomes available.
Brian Bogers: “This is bad news after the long rehabilitation process I had gone through. I carefully followed the doctors' recovery schedule but unfortunately something like this can happen. So now I'm on the sidelines again. There is nothing I can do now except another operation and then rehabilitation. Hopefully I can ride again as soon as possible. We will know more in a few weeks.”
