KNMV: Meuwissen the most regular in Oldebroek.
The second race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross was won by Raf Meuwissen. The KTM rider finished second in both heats on the beautiful circuit 'De Bargen' and thus took the day's victory. Filip Olsson has been in control of the day's victory for a long time, but in the last lap of the second round things went wrong for the CEC Racing rider. Olsson (1-4) comes second in the daily rankings ahead of Raivo Dankers (6-1). The title battle is completely open, leader Olsson has a seven-point lead over fifth man Emil Jonrup!

With the BCS-KTM, Meuwissen makes the best start from pole position, winning the HGS Holeshot Award ahead of Arno Menting, Loeka Thonies and Emil Weckman. The favourite, Dankers, has not had the best start and has to work his way to the front outside the top ten. In the third round the rider from Heesch makes a mistake and loses the places he has won. Meuwissen seems to take some distance, but Olsson comes on in the second half of the match. The 16-year-old takes the lead and wins the race ahead of Meuwissen and Weckman. The Swede from the Diga KTM Junior Team had to fight a duel with Thonies and lost touch with the riders in front of him. Weckman therefore finishes third ahead of fellow countryman Jonrup and Yamaha Rookie rider Boyd van der Voorn. Dankers comes back very strong and crosses the finish line in sixth place!

Meuwissen also makes the best start in the second round and the Limburger takes the HGS Holeshot Award after some pushing and pulling work with KNMV Rookies Dankers and Brian van der Klij. Mario Lucas Sanz can follow Meuwissen in the sprint to the big table mountain. In the first corner things go wrong for Petr Polak, the Czech crashes and has to give chase. Meuwissen and Sanz try to distance themselves, but that does not end well for the Spaniard. He crashes hard and disappears from the match. Jonrup and Dankers work their way forward in a controlled manner. Halfway through the race, 25 minutes and one lap, Dankers takes over second place and then completely erases Meuwissen's lead. Dankers wins ahead of his KTM colleague and former DMofMX 85cc Jonrup. Until the last lap, Olsson seems likely to cross the finish line in third place and that would also give him the victory of the day. However, he makes a mistake that allows Jonrup to pass and Olssen has to settle for fourth place. Weckman can keep an eye on the quartet in front of him, but he is unable to connect, causing him to cross the finish line in fifth place. Polak is doing very well in ninth place because he was still on the ground in the first corner.
This championship will continue on May 6, when the points will be distributed at the circuit park 'De Kuilen' in Mill.
