EMX: Boisrame wins again, Pocock has Redplate.
In Agueda, Mathys Boisrame won the second round of the second race of the European 250cc Championship. The Frenchman therefore wins the match and therefore makes up a lot of points after his poor match in Redsand. Mel Pocock (4-4) is second in the daily rankings ahead of the Italian Guiseppe Tropepe (8-5). Roan van de Moosdijk finished ninth in the second round and Freek van der Vlist took his first points of the season in 16th place. Pocock is the new leader in the standings, the REVO Husqvarna rider is eight points ahead of Pierre Goupillon.
After the large amount of rain last night, the circuit is very difficult for the second round. Pocock takes the best start ahead of Kevin Horgmo who has now managed to capitalize on his pole position. On the first jump down, Pocock and Horgmo almost collide, but fortunately it ends well. The winner of the first round, Boisrame, quickly passes both riders and immediately takes the lead. Horgmo can take second place from Pocock in the second round, after which CreyMert Racing tries to catch up with the leader. The Norwegian even takes the lead for a moment, but a mistake causes him to lose the lead. Boisrame is able to take over the lead again and can hold it until the checkered flag, but he is under pressure from Horgmo! The KTM rider finishes second ahead of EMX125 Champion Brian Strubhart-Moreau, Pocock and Tropepe complete the top five. Van de Moosdijk is the best Laaglander in ninth place, while Carglass Honda rider Van der Vlist has been in the top five for a long time but unfortunately falls back to 16th place. This weekend too, no Belgians took action during this second EMX250 of the season.
