Courtney Duncan wins WMX-GP in Agueda!
Yesterday we already let you know that Courtney Duncan the first round of the Portuguese Grand Prix in Agueda managed to bend it to her will. This morning the second round was held, the question was: could the New Zealander win again?!
And indeed the New Zealander also managed to win the second round. This time, however, the Yamaha pilot could not impose her will on her competition from start to finish. On the contrary, she now had to deal with Larissa Papenmeier first, who tried to make her life more than difficult. Behind these two ladies who finished first and second, we found the Italian Kiara Fontanessi who stayed ahead of the two Dutch ladies, in the form of Nancy van de Ven and a well-performing Shana van der Vlist. The Belgian Amandine Verstappen in turn finished eighth, and therefore lost expensive points in the World Cup!
The Grand Prix victory of course went to Courtney Duncan with 50 points out of 50. Larissa Papenmeier was second on the podium with 42 points, together with Nancy Van De Ven who collected 40 points!
