BREAKING: Jelle Grade says goodbye!
It was already a bit up in the air, but today it was confirmed that Jelle Grade will retire. The MC De Buiting driver stayed last year by healthtroubles aside almost the entire year. Grade worked hard on his comeback last winter and the first results were promising.
During the first heat in Lille, Jelle had an unfortunate fall and injured his still good knee. In fact, the friendly rider immediately knew what time it was. The feeling was the same as before with the left knee. Grade is no longer interested in another difficult rehabilitation to get back and is therefore finally saying goodbye. On his Facebook page, Jelle 'The Great' Grade expressly thanked MC De Buiting, his sponsors, his mechanics Eric and Marc, manager & PR lady Carine and all loyal supporters. The former IMBA MX1 champion will continue to assist the riders of MC De Buiting with his years of experience in motocross.
Jelle Grade: “I can't say it enough: “THANK YOU” to everyone who has stood by me all these years through good and bad times. It was not an easy decision, but I think it was the right one.”
We at MXMag also have excellent memories of Jelle and his team. Thank you for the many wonderful years and a successful recovery from the knee injury. In the meantime, we cannot resist delving into the memorable thriller between him and Jurgen Wybo in 2006 in Grobbendonk. Hereby!
