AMA: Plessinger does good business with fourth victory.
With his fourth victory in eight races, Aaron Plessinger is doing well in the MonsterEnergy AMA Supercross Championship WestCoast. In Seattle the Yamaha rider won, increasing his lead to 17 points with two races to go. Chase Sexton finished second at Century Link Field ahead of Adam Cianciarulo.
After the Easter weekend off, the drivers in Century Link Field were faced with a large puddle of mud. The match was therefore shortened to eight minutes and one round. Plessinger gets the best start ahead of Sexton and Joey Savatgy. The Kawasaki rider quickly jumped to second place, but he crashed in the second lap. Shane Mcelrath takes over second place after passing Sexton moments earlier. Halfway through this race, Plessinger already has a six-second lead over the KTM rider. The winner of the first race, Mcelrath, makes a mistake in the final phase, causing him to drop back to fourth place! Sexton and Cianciarulo take advantage of this and still get on the podium. Mcelrath finishes fourth ahead of Husqvarna rider Justin Starling.
