SX: Jeremy Martin wins the first East-West Shootout!
Normally, the 250F riders will compete against each other in the East-West Shoot Out during the grand finals in Las Vegas. This happened twice this year and the first version was won by Jeremy Martin. The Honda rider won in Indianapolis ahead of Adam Cianciarulo and the surprise Luke Renzland! No changes in the title battle, Zach Osborne (East) and Aaron Plessinger (West) remain the leaders.
In the final, Joey Savatgy seems to get the best start, but he hits teammate Cianciarulo and that also causes 'Redplate' holders Osborne and Plessinger to get into trouble. Martin wins the Holeshot Award ahead of Anthony Rodrigues and Renzland. The GEICO rider no longer has this position out of his hands while Rodrigues, who briefly competed for HRC in the MX2 World Championship last year, drops back. Cianciarulo can work his way up to second place ahead of Renzland. Fourth place goes to Jordon Smith ahead of Plessinger who came last out of the first corner. Osborne finishes seventh behind Austin Forkner and therefore loses a point in the standings.
