MXGP: Who is on the injury list for Valkenswaard?!
Motocross is an injury-prone sport, so monitoring who is or is not in the rag basket is sometimes quite a task. That is why we have an injury list for every Grand Prix. You can then find out who, where and when was injured and whether a date has already been set for his return. You can do the previous list and will continue to consult lists in the future!
MXGP Pilots
Jordi Tixier: Torn tendon in the right wrist – April 8 GP Trentino
The Frenchman, who will compete for the brand new BOS team this year, felt pain in his wrist while riding in Hawkstone Park, as he himself describes. It was then decided to consult his own doctor in Paris and he had no good news for the former MX2 world champion. A torn tendon in the right wrist caused Jordi Tixier this pain. An operation was inevitable to repair the tendon. This operation was successful and it was recently announced that the aim is to compete again in the Trentino Grand Prix.
Tim Gajser: Double jaw fracture – Reappearance in Valkenswaard
During the last round of the Italian championship in Mantova, the two-time world champion crashed hard. His head and neck hit the steering wheel tightly and he suffered a double jaw fracture, according to the HRC press release. The same press release stated that the Slovenian would be there again in Valkenswaard. Something he has now confirmed on his own social media. It now remains to be seen how strong the two-time world champion will return to competition and what result Tiga can achieve in the European Grand Prix!

Brian Bogers: Broken & dislocated right foot and ankle – Inactivity unknown
During the press presentation of the new Honda CRF250 machine in early December, Brian Bogers broke and dislocated his right foot and ankle in what the HRC press release called a stupid fall. It immediately became clear that this was not going to be a 6-week break and it was going to be ready for the brand new MXGP addition. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. From the last message we could conclude that Brian Bogers was allowed to start light, non-load-bearing training and that weight-bearing exercises could possibly be started in mid-March. Encouraging progress! Although it will take some time before we see him behind the starting gate on his Honda.
Arnaud Tonus: Dislocated left shoulder – inactivity unknown
The Swiss dislocated his left shoulder during the timed training of the preparatory match in LaCapelle-Marival. The 26-year-old Yamaha pilot had to undergo reconstructive shoulder surgery after this accident. This happened on February 20 in Geneva at Dr. Gregory Cunningham. It is currently unknown how long the Wilvo Yamaha pilot will be out.
Valentin Guillod: Broken left tibia and fibula. – inactivity unknown
With Valentin Guillod we have another Swiss in the fold. The young man who will compete for Standing Construct KTM this season broke his left tibia and fibula in a crash in training on January 19. An injury that immediately puts a significant burden on his coming season. After surgery and 14 days in hospital, we now have to wait and see how the rehabilitation will go and know when the KTM pilot will see action again.

Yentel Martens: Anterior cruciate ligament tear – inactivity unknown
In an Argentinian motocross and enduro adventure, Yentel Martens suffered a nasty knee injury. The young man who had not targeted the EMX300 title this year and who is also not a regular MXGP pilot suffered a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament. It now remains to be seen whether Yentel will have to undergo surgery to repair this tear, or whether the operation can be averted or postponed through stabilization exercises.
MX2 pilots
Brian Hsu: Dislocated shoulder – inactivity unknown
Brian Hsu fell in Italy and dislocated his ... shoulder, without the intervention of third parties, the shoulder of the German Hungarian Taiwanese returned to its socket. This is usually a good sign, but due to the pain the Valkenswaard Grand Prix will be too early. This week the Kawasaki pilot will undergo some tests to see how serious the damage is and whether or not it needs to be repaired surgically, and what his inactivity will be.
Simone Furlotti: Wrist injury – inactivity unknown
Italian Simone Furlotti will switch to the MX2 World Championship this year. However, the Italian does not have the ideal preparation, as the Italian injured his wrist on January 8. Ten days later he started the rehabilitation, and just like the GP of Neuquen, the Grand Prix of Valkenswaard also comes too early for the Italian.

Anton Gole: Fractured left scaphoid – Reappearance in GP Red Sand
The Swede Anton Gole had an unfortunate fall at the end of February, and the I-Fly JK Yamaha pilot used his left hand to break his fall. Unfortunately, he broke his scaphoid, also known as the skipper's bodice. As a result, he missed the Grand Prix in Neuquen and now also the Grand Prix in Valkenswaard. The good news is that motorcycle training can resume soon, so that Anton Gole can make his return in the Spanish Grand Prix on March 24-25.
