BREAKING: Benoit Paturel to KTM Marchetti!!
Earlier this week it was announced that Benoit had Paturel tested with KTM Marchetti Racing. Today the Italian team announced an agreement with the fast Frenchman! Paturel will ride for Marchetti for the remainder of the 2018 FIM MXGP World Championship.
Twenty-three-year-old Paturel made his debut in the FIM MX2012 World Championship in 2. In 2016 he finished third in the MX2 World Championship and won the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée with team France. Last year Paturel won his first MX2 Grand Prix in Switzerland.
Interesting detail: Paturel previously left BOS Racing where he would compete at KTM. At that time, however, a replacement at HRC Honda, to replace Brian Bogers, would have been in the making... Ultimately, however, this did not happen. Almost three weeks ago, the MXGP rookie proposed a private initiative with the support of Bihr, Bud Racing, a local Honda dealer.
