MCLB invests in safety with its own Medic Car & permanent emergency service!
VJMO and MCLB have worked hard behind the scenes this winter. Criticism about the quality of emergency services was taken to heart and this was translated into concrete measures. VJMO and MCLN invested in their own, equipped vtruck, the 'Medic Car'. In addition, the emergency service itself will now rely on the professional services of Ambuce Rescue Team (ART).
De Medic Car replaces dilapidated tents or other temporary shelters for injured people. Equipped with a loading bridge and all supplies for sterile care and quality first aid services, this truck is the professional mobile aid station that will be present at every competition. The Medic Car has two lockable rooms where patients can live in comfortable conditions, including: thanks to air conditioning, first care is administered by a doctor and nurse.
The emergency service itself Ambuce Rescue Team (ART), is recognized by the Ministry of Health and is part of Falck Benelux. Ambuce has been around since 1975, works from various Belgian locations and is an ambulance company that arranges, among other things, urgent/non-urgent patient transport, preventive assistance, repatriation and training. They are also often available at festivals, sporting events, film or TV recordings. Anyone who saw “De Zonen van Van As” on VTM last Wednesday may have seen Ambuce Rescue Team there.
Concrete consequences
To ensure everything runs smoothly, VJMO and MCLB have also created a number of new agreements.
– From now on, sOnly one person is allowed in the Medic Car with the injured rider.
– To cover the investment of the improved services and accommodation, €1 will be charged upon registration.
For VJMO riders this includes the existing registration.
MXMag can only applaud these innovations, although we first and foremost wish all riders an injury-free season! The VJMO/MCLB season starts on March 3 and 4 in Stekene.
