The first round of the Internationale d'Italia was a triumph for Tony Cairoli. Despite Jeffrey Herlings' bad luck, it was still a solid opener for the lowlanders. Jeremy Van Horebeek was on the podium in the MX1, Calvin Vlaanderen and Rick Elzinga did the same in the MX2 and 125cc respectively.
